Community

The Passion Project empowers individuals to realize they can create change with what they have.  We focus our efforts on connecting passion to build on the strengths and meet the needs of our local community in Vancouver.

Our Partners

The UBC Community Learning Initiative (CLI)

In 2011, The Passion Project found the support of the UBC CLI.  Together with the CLI, we develop community partnerships and projects that bring together UBC students and community partners in mutually beneficial exchanges.

Queen Alexandra Elementary School (QA)

Reading Break 2012 connected 38 UBC students with 52 inner-city QA students in grade 6 and 7 in a mentorship capacity for the purpose of using creative mediums such as poetry, song, music, and photography to build literacy and empower youth to address the challenges they face in their communities in constructive ways.

The Dr. Simon K.Y. Lee Global Lounge and Resource Centre

As members of this unique space, The Passion Project has access to a unique and vibrant network of student groups on campus who are committed to creating the types of changes we need to see in our world today.  The lounge serves as a space for meetings and events while also providing operational support via access to funding, office supplies and more.

Thank you for working with us to make change happen.
